Enviroschools is a nation wide organisation who work with schools and Early Childhood centres to create a “healthy, peaceful, sustainable world through learning and taking action together”.
It is our vision that as we strengthen the concept of kaitiakitanga within our centre, we hope to teach and empower our tamariki to be knowledgeable, enthusiastic and proactive kaitiaki and social justice agents who understand how and why they need to contribute to amending and improving the state of the world.
Whānau and community play an important role in this sustainability kaupapa and as we work towards our sustainability goals we hope you are keen to be part of this exciting journey. In the future we will be working towards zero waste, water and energy conservation, developing our living landscapes, developing a pataka kai and working towards regular excursions to our local ngāhere. We will share our progress with you and as always, we invite you to share your knowledge with us and welcome any suggestions or ideas you may have in regards to this kaupapa.
